Different between QA and QC



What is Quality of a Product ?

Product quality refers to, 
  • how well satisfy customer needs
  • Served it purpose
  • Meets industry standards 

What is quality assurance ?

Mainly QA is process oriented.

Quality assurance refers to the maintenance of an intended quality level of a product or service, right from the beginning of the production process or delivery of services.

What is quality control ? 

Mainly QC is product oriented.

Quality control can be defined as a system of keeping the desired quality in the goods produced, by testing the samples against the set criteria.

There are two major technologies in quality controlling. They are Inspection and Statistical quality control (SQC).The performance of produced items as per the defined specifications is checked by inspection. This checking process can be proceed in before during and after completion of production process.

There are many tools for quality controlling. some of them as followings.

Quality Control (QC) focused on detecting mistakes , errors or missed requirement of a product.

4M's in quality control

In quality controlling of produced items, we use 4 component starting from M. They are Machines, Manpower, Methods and Materials.
